Founded in May 2020, Opera Innovation began as a platform where opera entrepreneurs shared their ideas, initiatives, startups and small businesses; OI remains the only platform dedicated to exploring and expanding the spaces occupied by the business of opera, tech, brand, culture and global innovation. Opera doesn’t exist in a vacuum. As our Venn Diagram suggests, it requires deep coordination with other technologies, producers and business partners in order to succeed and flourish

Opera may be one of the world’s great art forms, but it’s also a global industry, a sector with centuries of track record. Which is why we aim to be the opera professional’s top of mind digital and physical destination for engagement with the greater business ecosphere and vice versa; where the cross-pollination of experience and expertise not only creates greater understanding, reach, funding and sustainability for the operatic arts but strategic engagement for all parties through mutually beneficial, innovative and revenue-producing collaborations yet to be dreamed up.

Opera Innovation was founded as an act of service. Coupled with our mission to connect opera professionals to new markets and like-minded business leaders, this drives our business of opera content, OI Insights subscriber-based newsletter, unique professional services portal and one of a kind events that will break norms and blow up expectations.
